We are looking for a candidate with a stronghold in base and advanced SAS programing (advance SQL, macros, loops, etc.) with sound knowledge of economics and econometrics/statistical concepts.
Substantial experience in programming skills in SAS
Excellent attention to detail for flagging issues and key observations in data
Good knowledge of microeconomic, statistics, and econometrics concepts
Ability to present statistical results in a clear and concise manner
Ability to work independently with data and devise efficient methods of handling large data and undertake analysis
Good working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint
Knowledge of Stata/Python/R/SQL would be an added advantage
Can work efficiently under tight deadlines with a high level of accuracy
Team player and ability to meet short and long term goals with flexible working hours
Ability to quickly adapt to other statistical tools, if required
Proven record of the highest ethical standards is non-negotiable
Min. Qualification:
Masters in Economics with strong SAS skills
Skills Required:
SAS (expert level), Python (basic)
Roles:
Processing and cleaning large datasets in SAS to be used for analysis
Handle large datasets (importing, cleaning, summarizing, and visualizations) in various formats – excel, txt, CSV
Clean numeric (including datetime variables) and string variables in datasets
Identify issues with data and perform sanity checks
Summarize data
Produce report quality tables, graphs etc. with minimum supervision
Write down statistical results articulately
Work closely with team members in data analysis. Also, coordinate and work with US colleagues on various data related requests
Audit work output of co-workers using efficient methods
Mentor team members on advanced programming
Assist team with secondary research tasks if required
